First Congregational Preservation Society
Dedicated to preserving this historical landmark
Welcome to the First Congregational Preservation Society
The First Congregational United Church of Christ building stands as a testament to our community's rich history and architectural heritage. Built in 1862 by settlers from New England, this historic landmark has served as a cornerstone of our community for over 160 years.
The church building is a stately symbol of the contribution that these early New England pioneers made to the history of our community, county, and state. The pipe organ, still operable today, was originally used in the Winona Congregational Church and was purchased and installed in 1885.
Today, our Preservation Society works tirelessly to maintain this magnificent structure, ensuring that its beauty and historical significance are preserved for future generations.
